It feels to me as if I have been away a long time, and I can hardly believe my calendar when it tells me that this Thursday is Thanksgiving. I'm not quite ready for it to be Thanksgiving already! Don't get me wrong, I love this time of year, but it's passing too quickly. The view from here of the coming week is already full: two runs to the airport tomorrow, one at 4 am, Tuesday, shopping for all the Thanksgivings, Wednesday a full day of plans, Thursday, my Dad to the airport again and our family Thanksgiving, Friday a morning outing and Thanksgiving leftovers with friends in the evening, Saturday our church Thanksgiving (we're expecting more than 40) and Sunday, Christmas decorations and up as a fun way to celebrate my birthday. And if everything comes together, then that next week means a 9-6 work week as I take on a temp (seasonal) receptionist job. Whew!
Our days have been full of visitors, and wondering what we are going to do for school for Meg next year (our school of choice has a severe shortage of openings) and all sorts of things. I'm only on ornament #6 of the Jesse tree, and a writing venture that Troy and I hoped to launch on Tuesday is nowhere near ready.
We have had the most beautiful fall weather. It has turned much colder, but the sky is amazing blue and the leaves are amazing. And since we haven't had much rain (which is actually not good) the leaves are still on the tree.
Anyway, that's what I've been up to. We'll see what this week brings!
